Verdant Vernal Equinox: A Poem

Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon my Darlings.   Happy Spring Equinox to all!   In honor of the Equinox, I have decided to share a poem about the magick of this transitional time of year!

Verdant Vernal Equinox

by Maranda Wabik

Hours of light & hours of night

Drift into equal measure

As the Earth awakens at Her leisure

The birdsong provides much pleasure

To the ears of those who are in tune

With the cycles of nature

Seasons turn,

One to another

Winter has given way to Spring

Flowers & plants slowly begin

To bud & to blossom

This Vernal Equinox

Embraces the unfolding of the timeless cycle

Trees are just starting

To turn from skeletal to

Verdantly Green, full of leaves

As Mother Nature heaves

The last bits of slumber from Herself

As we all lumber to our feet

Arising from sleep

Mother Nature enfolds us in Her loving arms

Ready to bring forth

Days of perfect temperature

Neither too hot nor too cold

We all begin to feel boldly ourselves

It is a time of true comfort

Amid endless growth

Fertile Abundance of Nature’s Blessings Plainly Seen!
