Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon my Darlings. Today’s post is about understanding different aspects of our Natal Charts instead of just focusing on the big three, Sun Moon, and Ascendant! For the record, I am a Virgo Sun, Virgo Moon, and Leo Ascendant, which I have written about before, but I wanted to state it here to give context. Now, I will be explaining aspects of my own Natal Chart to help explain what each of the signs means and why your chart is so much more than just your Sun Sign. Without further ado, let’s look at the other planets in the Natal Chart!
MERCURY SIGN: LEO
~The Mercury Sign governs communication style and how we think. It must be noted that because Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo, those with Gemini or Virgo in their big three (like myself) will have a lot more influence from Mercury in general. Now, as I am both a Virgo Sun and Moon, I do have that deep connection to this planet, which means that I am very deeply connected to communication and thought, but that energy is filtered through Leo. I think this is very much shown in the fact that I am very vocal about my opinions and make my own analysis of connections between different myths and legends!
VENUS SIGN: LEO
~The Venus Sign governs how we process love and relationships. It must be noted that because Venus rules Taurus and Libra, those with Taurus and Libra in their big three will have a lot more influence from Venus in general. Having Venus in Leo shows that I am very romantic and loving in relationships, as well as being incredibly loyal desiring to have long-term relationships.
JUPITER SIGN: LEO
~The Jupiter Sign governs ambition. It must be noted that because Jupiter rules Sagittarius and Pisces (which is also famously ruled by Neptune), those with Sagittarius or Pisces in their big three will have a lot more influence from Jupiter in general. Having Jupiter in Leo means that there is often an abundance of energy and a desire to be on the go much of the time.
MARS SIGN: LIBRA
~The Mars Sign governs energy, aggression, passion, desire, anger, and sex. It must be noted that because Mars rules Aries and Scorpio (which is also famously ruled by Pluto), those with Aries or Scorpio in their big three will have a lot more influence from Mars in general. Having Mars in Libra means that there is a craving for beauty and creativity and a desire for a fairytale love story. That means that as far as sex, passion, and desire go, there is a lot of loyalty and wanting to be in a long-term relationship.
PLUTO SIGN: SCORPIO
~The Pluto Sign governs the unconscious, secrets, and hidden agendas. It must be noted that because Pluto rules Scorpio, those with Scorpio in their big three will have a lot more influence from Pluto in general. In my case, and the case of all people in my generation, Pluto is in the home sign of Scorpio, meaning that there is also a deeper influence than others may have from their Pluto Sign. Having Pluto in Scorpio means that there is always a desire to search deeper into any situation and to discover hidden truths.
SATURN SIGN: AQUARIUS, but at 0 degrees, so cusping CAPRICORN
~The Saturn Sign governs how we parent ourselves and deal with life’s challenges. It must be noted that because Saturn rules Capricorn and Aquarius, those with Capricorn or Aquarius in their big three will feel a lot more influence from Saturn in general. In my case, since I was born with Saturn cusping between those two signs, but I think I lean more on Capricorn (even if I am barely in Aquarius technically), I have Saturn in its home signs. Saturn in Aquarius shows that you have people gravitate to you for support, and are considered to be unconventional. Saturn in Capricorn often shows a fear of failure, and a desire to make the most of their ambitions. I do resonate with both of these energies but in particular the fear of failure, hence my thinking I am more influenced by the Capricorn energy here!
URANUS SIGN: CAPRICORN
~The Uranus Sign governs extremes, breakthroughs, breakdowns, and limitlessness. It must be noted that because Uranus rules Aquarius (which is also ruled by Saturn), those with Aquarius in their big three will feel a lot more influence from Uranus in general. Having Uranus in Capricorn means that there is a lot of innovative thought and planning for the future!
NEPTUNE SIGN: CAPRICORN
~The Neptune Sign governs our connection to our spirituality, mysticism, creativity, and divinity. It must be noted that because Neptune rules Pisces, those with Pisces in their big three will feel a lot more influence from Neptune in general. Having Neptune in Capricorn means that there is much inspiration found in hard work and ambition!
~So, my chart clearly shows that I am primarily Earth signs, with a good amount of Fire (due to my placements in Leo). All of this put together gives me a much better understanding of my desires and drives. I hope this gives you some inspiration to look deeper into your own Natal Chart.
