Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon my Darlings. Today’s post is going to be about nine words that I have recently discovered which resonate with me on a very deep level! When I found these words as I was exploring different rabbit holes online, I also felt that I discovered words that truly describe me and my spirituality at this point in time very well. Most of them have a very earthy and green quality to them and the others have a deep and dark nighttime quality, both aspects important to my spiritual journey at the moment! Without further ado, here are the nine words and their definitions.
DENDROPHILE: A person who loves forests, trees.
WERIFESTERIA: An Old English word which means to wander lovingly through the forest in search of mystery.
TENALACH: An Irish word which is used to describe a relationship one has with the land, air, and water: A deep connection that allows one to literally hear the Earth sing.
ANEMOIA: Nostalgia for a time we’ve never known.
PETRICHOR: The pleasant smell of Earth after the first rain.
EVIGHEDEN: Eternity; Forever; Neverending; Infinite time; Duration without beginning or end.
NOCTIFLOROUS: Flowering at night.
SOMNIUMPHILE: A person who has a great love for dreams.
NYCTOPHILIA: Love of darkness or night. Finding relaxation and comfort in the darkness.
