Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon my Darlings.    For today’s post, I have decided to do an overview of the Avalonian Cycle of Healing used by the Sisterhood of Avalon.

STATION OF DESCENT

~Keywords from The Avalonian Oracle: Descent, the Unconscious, healing, cleansing, releasing, waning, blood mysteries, the Otherworld, wisdom, threshold place, entering the Cauldron of Transformation.   The first station is traditionally aligned with Calan Gaeaf (or Samhain).   Personally, each year I begin to feel the pull of the Station of Descent beginning with the Autumnal Equinox.   The height of the Station of Descent takes hold during Calan Gaeaf, which is the time that Jhenah Telyndru has aligned with this station in the Avalonian Cycle of Healing!    

STATION OF CONFRONTATION

~Keywords from The Avalonian Oracle: Shadow, root, stillness, nadir, dark night of the soul, depths of the cauldron, death and rebirth.   The second station is traditionally aligned with Gwyl Mair (or Imbolc).    Personally, each year I begin to feel the pull of the Station of Confrontation beginning with the Winter Solstice.    The height of the Station of Confrontation takes hold during Gwyl Mair, which is the time that Jhenah Telyndru has aligned with this station of the Avalonian Cycle of Healing!

STATION OF EMERGENCE

~Keywords from The Avalonian Oracle: New beginnings, fertility, creativity, possibility, potential, transformation, cleansing, renewal, partnership.   The third station is traditionally aligned with Calan Mai/Calan Haf (or Beltane).    Personally, each year I begin to feel the pull of the Station of Emergence beginning with the Vernal Equinox.    The height of the Station of Emergence takes hold during Calan Mai, which is the time that Jhenah Telyndru has aligned with this station of the Avalonian Cycle of Healing!

STATION OF RESOLUTION

~Keywords from The Avalonian Oracle: Revelation, full fruit, victory, accomplishment, first harvest, abundance, passion, will.   The fourth station is traditionally aligned with Gwyl Awst (or Lughnasadh).   Personally, each year I begin to feel the pull of the Station of Resolution beginning with the Summer Solstice.    The height of the Station of Resolution takes hold during Gwyl Awst, which is the time that Jhenah Telnydru has aligned with this station of the Avalonian Cycle of Healing!

STATION OF INTEGRATION

~Keywords from The Avalonian Oracle: The Whole, the All, the core, the heart, the Self, the big picture.   The final station is traditionally aligned with the time between each of the other cycles and is timeless in this way.    I find that this station feels the most like a liminal space.   It is the betwixt and between of each of the other stations, instead of simply going from one station to the next, after each subsequent station we can fall into the Station of Integration.   This is how we integrate each new aspect of Shadow that we have uncovered before moving on to the next!
