Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon my Darlings.   Today’s blog post is inspired by the work of ‘The Moon School’ concerning Dark Feminine Energy.    As the Dark Feminine is a central part of my own practice, I wanted to react to their list of ’13 Ways to Awaken Dark Feminine Energy’!

~WORK WITH THE DARK GODDESS~

~This is likely the beginning of embracing Dark Feminine energy for most of us who work with this type of magickal energy.    When you find a Dark Goddess who really resonates with you, and calls you to be her Devotee or Priestess, you come into your own as an Enchantress, Sorceress, or Priestess!

~SLOW DOWN AND REST~

~I love this tip as we go into the dark half of the year, when the world is dying off, it is time to stop and rest.

~LEARN TO LOVE YOUR MENSTRUAL CYCLE~

~This is very much an important aspect of the Dark Feminine, getting to love your body in all of its beauty.   Getting in tune with your menstrual cycle, your blood, and your sexuality are all integral for tapping into the power of the Dark Feminine! 

~EXPLORE THE BLOOD MYSTERIES~

~Now, this is where I begin to question why this list is so long, other than the desire to have the number thirteen included because it is a Divine Feminine number.    Blood mysteries and learning to love your menstrual cycle are in fact one thing, as the menstrual cycle is included with blood mysteries!

~WORK WITH THE DARK MOON~

~Yes, yes, yes!   I adore working with Dark Moon energy!    It is just as potent, if not even more potent, than Full Moon energy.    This is the energy of honoring that which is dying off and getting ready to build a foundation for new magickal growth and attracting new things into your life!

~DO YOUR SHADOW WORK~

~I have written so much about Shadow Work that I feel that my agreement with this tip goes without saying!

~GET IN THE GARDEN~

~Ah, they even gave an example that applies to the Green Dark Feminine energy.   Yes, getting to know your plant allies is integral to all Feminine paths!

~EMBRACE TRANSFORMATION~

~Ah we have again a tip which I think is already encompassed by a different previous tip.    Embracing Transformation is a part of doing Shadow Work and it is certainly the direct result of Shadow Work often!

~GET ANGRY~

~Yet again, this is part of Shadow Work, as you are embracing and processing negative emotions!

~LOOK AT YOUR OWN CONDITIONING AROUND FEMININITY~

~A third one in a row, this is just another aspect of Shadow Work which has been listed as its own tip for connecting to the Dark Feminine, possibly in order to lengthen this list!

~CONNECT TO THE FEMININE ARCHETYPES~

~I wholeheartedly agree that we must embrace and explore all of the Feminine Archetypes we can in order to fully get in touch with the Dark Feminine!

~EXPLORE ESOTERICA~

~Getting to know all about esoteric and occult knowledge is one of the best ways to embrace our Dark Feminine energy!

~HEAL THE SISTERHOOD WOUND~

~Finally, while I yet again agree with this tip, it is another example of Shadow Work, and it in fact an aspect of Shadow Work that I have been working on a lot in my personal practice lately!

~I ended up finding only eight unique tips on this list of ways to embrace the Dark Feminine, making it a flawed list, but all of the tips are truly helpful for those wishing to embrace the Dark Feminine!   I hope you have enjoyed this reaction to a list of thirteen ways to connect to the Dark Feminine compiled by ‘The Moon School’.   Do you agree with my analysis?   Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
