Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon my Darlings! Today’s post is about how working with Avalonian Green Herbal Magick helped me get to know myself better. The journey to walking a more Green Path began for me back in February when I first signed up for Herbs of Avalon, Morgana’s Materia Medica, which is the herbalism class I have been taking since the beginning of March. As my class is sadly coming to an end soon, I felt it was the perfect time to reflect on what the class has brought into my life! I am so thrilled to see what will come next for me on this journey, even as I do not want my time in this class to end.
The reason why I titled this post Finding Myself is because I largely feel that this is what I have been truly doing over the last several months. I have been slowly but surely growing into the Woman and Enchantress I am meant to be! The decision to take this class, taught by the incredible Suzanne O’Gara, was an easy choice. I knew that I would gain so much from learning from her, but this class has been even better than I could have imagined going in! From the very first class, I really felt like I had found a safe space to learn and grow, to be supported, and to support other lovely people walking a similar path to myself.
It was not long before I finally decided that it was time to offer some of my spiritual services which I had long desired to offer to the public. It was in March that I began offering my Tarot readings here on White Rose of Avalon, and I love that I am able to share my gifts and help others process their pain and gain insights via my readings! In May, I officially applied to become a member of the Sisterhood of Avalon, and I went through Orientation over the Summer. That was a profoundly blessed experience to go through, yet another place where I could support and be supported by amazing women walking similar spiritual paths to myself, and I loved the idea that we walked “Solitary yet Parallel Paths.” Meaning I could still work my magick much as I always did, but with the option of coming together and sharing the magick sometimes!
Going to my first Ninefold Festival in September was a gorgeous experience, and I was so happy that because it was online, it was easy to be able to attend. Now, I have also been initiated as a Priestess of Avalon by both Morgan le Fay and Blodeuwedd, who desired to have me work as Priestess in both of their names! I can easily trace all of these beautiful experiences to that choice made back in February. If I had not decided to deepen my herbal knowledge in hopes of one day being able to incorporate that into the metaphysical shop I plan to own, as soon as I can save up the money to open it, then I would never have become so inspired by the relationships I was building with my herbal allies, and by the stories Suzanne shared, to begin taking the risks I took. All of this brought me to this Blessed Place I have found myself at this Samhain Season! I feel truly grateful for all that I have received from the abundance of the Goddess and Avalon this year. I am also truly excited to see what may come next for me!
