Priestess of the Sacred Well: A Poem

Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon my Darlings!   Today’s post is a poem about the tending of sacred wells.

Priestess of the Sacred Well

by Maranda Wabik

Stars twinkle in the night sky

A blanket of tiny ephemeral lights

The only illumination of the

DARK MOON

A Priestess is walking through the forest

Searching for the Sacred Well

Passing by grove after grove

The Union of Earth & Water

Is needed to perform this

DARK MOON RITE

Slowly the starry lights glitter

Upon the Nematon

Which contains the Sacred Well,

The Well this Priestess is assigned to tend.

She is a woman of Faery Blood

Taught of herblore and of star lore

Initiated as Priestess

Directly by the Goddesses

To whom she is in service!

She is robed in deep forest green velvet

And wears a gown of sapphire blue beneath

Her bare feet walk to the Well

With a firm & resolved stride

As she raises the water to

Bless the land

Bless herself

Bless the

GODDESSES OF AVALON!
