Shadow of the Soul: A Poem

Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon my Darlings!   Today’s post is a poem about the depths of a Shadow Work Journey.

Shadow of the Soul

by Maranda Wabik

Dark Mirror of the Soul

How can I feel Whole?

Anxiety Peaks as I examine

The Shadows of my Inner Landscape,

The Internal Otherworld

My Shadow Self made manifest

WITHIN

The Dark Doppelgänger of deep-rooted desires

Are they Pleasure or Pain?

I will not feign recognition,

Instead I will witness

The unfolding of innate desires

Withholding judgement of the self

For this is how I can

Confront the unsavory parts of myself!

I am not purely good,

I am not purely evil,

I am a complex multi-faceted Soul,

Empowered by my willingness to face my

SHADOW SOUL

And Alchemize the Disparate parts of me into a

COHESIVE WHOLE!
