Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon my Darlings!   Today’s Lughnasadh post is a poem that I composed about the holiday and the magick of turning seasons and solar and lunar energy.   I want to note that part of the inspiration for this poem was the fact that today is both the Solar holiday of Lughnasadh and a full moon in Aquarius, making it a Lunar holiday as well!  

Feast of Lugh

First festival of the Harvest

Time of burgeoning growth

Time of abundance & plenty

Brightest day of Shining Sun

Warmth of Sexual Energy

Sometimes called the

Wedding Feast of Lugh

A day which is powerful for us two

Celebration of the Sun

Honoring of the Moon

Balance of Solar & Lunar

As the Sun makes its descent

The Moon encourages our

Internal Quest

I surely do not jest

Enjoy festivities in the warmth

But never forget

To dig deeply into the Earth,

Into the depths of the 

Unconscious Mind!

This is how we prevent 

Becoming emotionally blind!
