Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon my Darling readers!   For today’s post, I have decided to do a book review of Jhenah Telyndru’s new title, just released a couple of weeks ago, The Ninefold Way of Avalon.   I have already mentioned how much I loved the book in the ranking of my nine favorite Avalonian books, where I ranked it number one before even finishing it!   Yes, the book is just so phenomenal that I had to rank it in the top slot before finishing it.

This book is the ideal follow-up to her previous two titles, Avalon Within and The Mythic Moons of Avalon.   The third book in this Avalonian series that is based on her own tradition, The Sisterhood of Avalon, builds upon the methods presented in the first two volumes beautifully.   I am such a huge lover of Telyndru’s work that I just have to read each book she writes!   I have also read her Pagan Portals books on Avalonian Goddesses, which are likewise outstanding.   

The book is titled Ninefold Way, as the premise of the teachings is that there are nine distinct Priestess paths that one can follow while within the Avalonian Stream of Tradition.   These nine paths are the Lorekeeper, the Artisan, the Seer, the Hearthtender, the Guardian, the Healer, the Ritualist, the Lawspeaker, and the Emissary.   I adore how the book is set up in its second half, going in-depth for each path with many correspondences.   After an in-depth look at each path within the Ninefold, the book details a way to deepen into each of the paths in a full course of study that can be undertaken over the course of several months for self-study and personal development!

As a bonus, the book begins with an in-depth study of Ninefold traditions throughout Celtic lore.   A favorite section of mine is her section where she discussed Morgan le Fay!   I always give major bonus points to any book that has a section, or more, devoted to my favorite of Faery Queen Goddesses!   I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in bringing Avalonian energies into their lives.   The three books in this series of Sisterhood of Avalon teachings form a great basis for a path of self-development.   Although I was already very familiar with Avalon as a literary and legendary place, the first book, Avalon Within, was my introduction to Avalonian magick and shaped my course by showing me that this was the path I was meant to be on!   I hope that you have enjoyed this short review of The Ninefold Way of Avalon.   Have you read this title yet?   Do you enjoy the books of Jhenah Telyndru?   Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
