Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darling readers.    For today’s post, I will be doing a ranking of my top nine favorite books about the Path of Avalon!   I have been reading Avalon books for years, and have been obsessed with Avalon in the Arthurian legends since childhood!   Given the importance of the number nine in Avalon, I chose to keep this list to nine books!   Without further ado, here is the list.

Number 9: Flower Face: A Devotional Anthology in Honor of Blodeuwedd by Jhenah Telyndru 

~This lovely devotional was edited by Jhenah Telyndru and includes several lovely songs, poems, and stories that help the reader further connect to the Great Flower and Owl Goddess of Avalon, Blodeuwedd!

Number 8: Cerridwen: Celtic Goddess of Inspiration by Kristoffer Hughes

~Hughes gives the reader a great and well-thought-out overview of the Goddess Cerridwen.    It is a well-written book that goes deep into the lore and worship of this ancient Welsh Deity!

Number 7: Blodeuwedd: Welsh Goddess of Seasonal Sovereignty by Jhenah Telyndru 

~This one is a short Pagan Portals book that deeply explains the myths and tales of Blodeuwedd for those interested in building a relationship with this Great Goddess!

Number 6: Rhiannon: Divine Queen of the Celtic Britons by Jhenah Telyndru

~Similar to the above title, this one is a great Pagan Portals book that goes into detail on the myths and tales of Rhiannon for those looking to bond to this Great Goddess!

Number 5: Priestess of Avalon, Priestess of the Goddess by Kathy Jones

~In many ways, this is the most iconic book on Avalonian magic and the Path of Avalon that exists.    Kathy Jones is the founder of the Glastonbury Goddess Temple and she lays out her teachings in that tradition in this book!

Number 4: Mythic Moons of Avalon by Jhenah Telyndru

~This is the second long-form book that Telyndru wrote on her Sisterhood of Avalon tradition.   This one is focused on lunar and plant healing.

Number 3: Avalon Within by Jhenah Telyndru

~The original book that Telyndru wrote about her Sisterhood of Avalon tradition is probably the most influential book in my spiritual journey.   I knew my style was Faery, but I was not certain which Faery-aligned path was right for me.   Upon reading this book, I knew that I was meant to walk the Path of Avalon!

Number 2: Grail Alchemy by Mara Freeman

~Written by the founder of another great Avalonian tradition, Mara Freeman gives a great overview of how Alchemy relates to the stories of Arthur and the Isle of Avalon!   The meditations in this book are truly excellent to work through!

Number 1: Ninefold Way of Avalon by Jhenah Telyndru 

~My number one could not be anything other than Jhenah Telyndru’s most recent book.   It was just published last week, officially, but as I had pre-ordered it, I got it a week early!   This amazing book serves as an in-depth overview of her tradition, going into detail on Avalonian Priestess’s works!    I plan to do a full review here on White Rose of Avalon when I have finished reading the book.   That is right, even being only halfway through I could not help but rank this one at the top spot!
