For today’s post, I have decided to take a look at the magical properties of the sacred number 7. Seven is a number intimately associated with magic and magical workings. Even those that are less knowledgeable about magical numbers will know that this one is connected to magic through its use in fantasy series, like Harry Potter. The number seven is also the number of primary planets in astrology, the number of chakras, the number of colors of the rainbow, and the number of days in a week.
Seven is also shown to be the number of points of the Faery star, which is also known as a septagram and can be a portal into the realms of Faery. The seven points of the septagram are aligned with those sevens I mentioned above, the number of the days of the week, the colors of the rainbow, the chakras, the primary planets in astrology, and of course the gifts of Faery. This is why it can be said to be a portal to Faery in and of itself. I am going to go into each of the points of the number seven in detail in the section below.
ONE: The first gift of Faery is ANCESTRY. It is connected to the Root Chakra and the color Red. The sacred planet of this gift and point of the septagram is Saturn. This aligns it with the day of the week Saturday.
TWO: The second gift of Faery is SENSUALITY. It is connected to the Sacral Chakra and the color Orange. The sacred planet of this gift and point on the septagram is Mars. This aligns with the day of the week Tuesday.
THREE: The third gift of Faery is POWER. It is connected to the Solar Plexus Chakra and the color Yellow. The Sun is the sacred planet of this gift and points on the septagram. This aligns it with the day of the week Sunday.
FOUR: The fourth gift of Faery is LOVE. It is connected to the Heart Chakra and the colors Green and Pink (Green being the one on the rainbow). The sacred planet of this gift and point on the septagram is Venus. This aligns it with the day of the week Friday.
FIVE: The fifth gift of Faery is EXPRESSION. It is connected to the Throat Chakra and the color Blue. The sacred planet of this gift and point on the septagram is Mercury. This aligns with the day of the week Wednesday.
SIX: The sixth gift of Faery is THE SIGHT. It is connected to the Third Eye Chakra and the color Indigo. The sacred planet of this gift and point on the septagram is the Moon. This aligns with the day of the week Monday.
SEVEN: The seventh and final gift of Faery is COMMUNION. It is connected to the Crown Chakra and the colors Violet and White (with Violet being the one on the rainbow). The sacred planet of this gift and point on the sepatgram is Jupiter. This aligns with the day of the week Thursday.
