My Top Five Hot Tea Blends

For today’s post, I have decided to do a countdown of my five favorite tea blends that are easy to find in bag form at local grocery stores.    Each of these blends are in the Bigelow brand, but I do still love other brands like Celestial Seasonings, but my current favorite is Bigelow (and really has been for a long time if I am honest).   This ranking will likely change over time, but I felt that doing this countdown was a good thing for the coziness of the Winter season.

Number 5: Bigelow Earl Grey

~The fifth place on my list goes to the first of two black tea blends that I have chosen.   Earl Grey is a classic tea and Bigelow makes a great Earl Grey that is very soothing and energizing, and it just smells amazing to be honest!

Number 4: Bigelow Darjeeling

~The fourth place on my list goes to the other black tea blend.    Darjeeling has always been my favorite blend of black tea as it tastes and smells great and feels genuinely nourishing to drink.    It has a slightly more exotic flavor profile than the more traditional Earl Grey profile.

Number 3: Bigelow Mint Medley

~The third place on my list goes to the Bigelow Mint Medley tea blend.   It is a combination of different types of mint.   I adore mint teas, as they are soothing and relaxing.    It is a teas that is great for soothing a sore throat and helping if you have an upset stomach.   I feel like this tea both soothes and even helps with my sinus pressure from allergies, at least this is the case for me.

Number 2: Bigelow Sweet Dreams Tea

~The second place spot on this list goes to the Bigelow Sweet Dreams blend.   This has always been my favorite night time hot tea!    I far prefer this blend to Sleepy Time Tea blends, but that is just my opinion.    The Sweet Dreams blend is a combination of chamomile and mint, making it a lovely way to soothe you at night as you are getting ready for bed.

Number 1: Bigelow Red Raspberry Herbal Blend

~The first place goes to a new blend that I have recently discovered.   I have long been searching for an herbal blend of tea that features rose, as I am a huge fan of the taste of rose in my teas.    This one is a tea that my husband picked up with us thinking it was simply herbal raspberry tea, which it is, but it also has hibiscus, rose hips, apples, and elderberries!   I was honestly elated when we came home and I read the ingredients, as it not only has the rose I was looking for in an herbal blend, but also my favorite fruit of apples.    The tea is a lovely red color when brewed with an aroma of florals and fruits.   It is very soothing and invigorating at the same time.    For anyone looking for a great herbal blend for the afternoon, I feel this is the ideal tea!

Side Note: On a side note I wanted to acknowledge that I have always been a major coffee drinker, and I tend to drink both coffee and tea daily.   I drink my coffee black, but I like my hot tea with honey if you were curious.   Although it is not included on this list, my favorite iced tea is iced green tea, which I actually prefer iced to hot.

~I hope you have enjoyed this countdown of favorite tea blends to drink hot for the Winter.   Do you enjoy any of these teas?   What is you favorite hot tea?   Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
