For today’s post, I have decided to do a book review of the new Nightmare Before Christmas continuation novel, Long Live the Pumpkin Queen. This book, by Shea Ernshaw, is something that I have been waiting to read for over a year, as the publication was pushed back several times. I finally got a copy for my birthday and I was very excited to read it.
The book itself was written in a lovely prose style that I really enjoyed. The story tells the tale of Sally right after she and Jack got married. They visit Valentine’s Town for their short one-night honeymoon. Later, the citizens of Halloween Town are put into a mysterious sleeping spell. Sally is the only one left awake to solve the issue, in this she begins to become the true Pumpkin Queen. It takes this challenge to get her to believe in herself as a true Queen worthy of her title!
I do not want to go any deeper, as I do not want to spoil all of the awesome reveals in this adorable and romantic novel! I hope you have enjoyed this short review. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
