Glamour Magic Review

For today’s post, I would like to do a book review of Glamour Magic: The Witchcraft Revolution to Get What You Want by Deborah Castellano.   It is a book that I am very glad that I have read.

This book was something that piqued my interest as usage of Glamour in the magical world is very often most associated with Faery women.   As someone who is intrigued and a little bit obsessed with anything related to Faery, I just had to pick up this book.   The book does a great job of laying out the process of using Glamour in order to achieve your “Great Work” and begins by explaining how to figure out what your “Great Work” is.  I truly enjoy that this book is written in a very lighthearted and tongue-in-cheek way.

The exercises given throughout the book are well explained in an order that builds upon the previous exercise.    This makes the whole book a workbook of crafting a unique Glamour that will help you to achieve what you desire in the world!   I love her explanation that Glamour is not just a mask, instead, she describes Glamour as emphasizing certain innate aspects of yourself in order to put forth the part of you that you currently desire.   Therefore the Glamour is within us already, we need only work to unlock our inner magick!

I love the idea of using my our innate specialness to work Glamour in my life.   Plus, as I have long said, I am a big believer in using aspects of Faery in my daily life.   So, using Glamour which is associated with Faery, serves to do this well!   I hope that you have enjoyed this short book review.   I truly hope that anyone interested in Glamour and Faery magic will read this book.   Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
