My Top 10 Female Characters from Supernatural Dramas

For today’s post, I have decided to do a countdown of my favorite female characters from several supernatural dramas.   I had a hard time with my top three, as they all basically tied for number one, but I felt I had to choose, so this is the ranking as I feel today!   In truth, they rank just about equally!

Number 10: Cordelia Chase Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel

~We first meet Cordelia in BTVS but she grows so much as a character in the sequel series.   I truly adored her evolution to a psychic who has a great duty to the Powers That Be!   I also really like her relationship with Angel, after all, if he couldn’t be with Buffy Cordy would be my second choice!

Number 9: Buffy Summers Buffy the Vampire Slayer

~Buffy is the badass vampire slayer that headed this series for seven years.   She was the young woman who had relations with vampires and protected the world for many years.

Number 8: Wendy Beauchamp Witches of East End

~Wendy was the fun-loving aunt in this short-lived but very fun series.   Wendy is a character invented for the series, not in the books, only intended for the pilot who became so beloved she was a series regular.

Number 7: Emma Swan Once Upon A Time

~Emma is the woman who finds herself in the town of Storybrooke thanks to her young son coming to find her.   She learns she is the Savior and the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming!

Number 6: Morgan Pendragon Camelot

~This version of Morgan from the short-lived television series Camelot takes on all of her darkly magical features common in the late medieval tellings.   I loved Eva Green’s portrayal so much in this series!

Number 5: Freya Beauchamp Witches of East End

~Freya is the impulsive and passionate sister who is always in love in every life they live.   This is a story of two sisters and their mother and aunt, all cursed witches.   The sisters are cursed to die young and be reborn endless times!

Number 4: Morgana Pendragon Merlin

~This version of Morgana in the television series Merlin is a badass sorceress!   I love her early character as a sweet girl who becomes changed by the difficult life she lived.   I totally blame Merlin for not admitting to also being born with magic, as she only knew acceptance from those who wanted to destroy Camelot!

Number 3: Caroline Forbes The Vampire Diaries

~Caroline is the best character in The Vampire Diaries!   She is intelligent, witty, organized, and fun-loving.   I adored her evolution from a neurotic human to a badass woman once she became a vampire.   Seeing her evolve into a mother was a special treat of the later seasons!   I hate that she and Klaus never got a chance to really be a couple.

Number 2: Phoebe Halliwell Charmed

~My favorite television show featured this character I related to most in the series.   She began as a wild child who brought forth the powers to herself and her sisters.   In the end, she had evolved into a passionate and romantic woman who is willing to do anything for those she loves!   I just wish she and Cole could have ended up together.

Number 1: Lydia Martin Teen Wolf

~Lydia is that unique character who is so incredibly intelligent that she seems like she would be an outcast, which is why she started out downplaying this feature.   Seeing her fully embrace her amazing intellect as the series progressed was great.   Her powers as a banshee, especially when she learned to weaponize her screams, are pretty badass, to be honest.   Plus, Stiles and Lydia are one of my favorite ships!

~I hope that you have enjoyed this countdown.  Did I include your favorite? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
