Misunderstood Goddess Poem

For today’s post, I have decided to share a poem about the power of Goddess.

Misunderstood Goddess

by Maranda Wabik

Great and mighty

Full of power
Inspiring awe

Yet oft-misunderstood!
I honor

Great Goddesses

Morgana

Aphrodite Venus

Rhiannon

Blodeuwedd

Freya

Not simply one thing,

Complex and empowered!

Do not diminish

The true nature

Of Deities

Instead

Embrace

The Eternal

Vastness of

Goddess

  1. Do you know of Frenchman Jean Markale? He wrote a book called The Great Goddess. It’s a good read. There’s a lot of talk about the Goddesses outweighing other divinities in terms of antiquity, but I like that he weaves threads between say, the prehistoric Venuses and the familiar Gods of the Celts and Germans.

I like your poem. I too think the pantheons are more tightly intertwined than modernity credits.
