For this first post of Poetry Week, I have decided to share a poem I composed about the Faery Queen Melusina.
Melusina’s Legacy

Melusina is betrayed
Raymond had seen her
Her secret was revealed
She must leave
But she still
Stayed near her children
Crying as a Banshee
When one would perish
Melusina is a Faery Queen
Or Mermaid
Whom princes would
Claim descent from
After her betrayal
By her husband
Melusina built
Her home in
Avalon!
