Zodiac Awareness

For today’s post, I have decided to discuss how to understand yourself a bit better with the traditional western zodiac.   I have said many times that I find that I am much more connected to the Celtic zodiac, as the signs I was born under in that zodiac seem more similar to me than the traditional western zodiac.   However, as I did more digging I found connections in my natal chart that explain why I never felt that I fit the Virgo archetype much!

When I looked deeper, I saw that although I am a sun and moon in Virgo, that is just the beginning.   First of all, on my birthdate, it was a new moon, which I believe certainly holds a lot of power, given that a new moon is about new beginnings.   The new moon marks a time of emotions being in charge, and femininity being emphasized.   This certainly fits my personality and very emotional nature well!

However, what really makes me feel there are some answers are my moon trine Neptune (Capricorn), and moon sextile Pluto (Scorpio).   When I looked into the astrology of my specific birth date, it finally made sense as to why I never felt Virgo fully fit me!    Moon trine Neptune makes for someone spirited, empathetic, and artistic.    Moon trine Neptune also imparts dreamy nature, fertile imagination, and enthusiasm!    Now, this all fits me quite well.   Moon sextile Pluto is said to awaken sentimentality, enjoyment of adventures, and extreme emotions and actions!   Reading this is when I began to realize that there were hidden gems in my birth chart that I had never realized.

All of these factors balanced out the logical left-brained nature of the Virgo that I never felt fit.    Now, I will not say any form of astrology is perfect, or that traditional western astrology is now my favorite, but I am happy to have learned more about my birth chart.   While I still do feel more connected to the Celtic zodiac, I have learned a lot about my personal relationship with the stars, and that is invaluable!    For anyone who does not feel connected to their zodiac sign, as I did, I highly suggest looking deeper into the astrology of your particular birth date.    I hope you have enjoyed this short post about zodiac awareness.   Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
