Queen of Wands in Tarot

For today’s post I would like to discuss the Queen of Wands in Tarot.    The wands suit of tarot is associated with the element of fire.    It is a suit of passion and sexuality given this fiery association!    Queens symbolize powerful women, and are sometimes shown in the tarot to be matrons, or to be expectant mothers.    Historically birthing an heir was the most important duty a Queen could do, so this mother and matron vision is in line with this.

What is consistent about the Queen of Wands throughout tarot decks is her being pictured as both well dressed and regal.    She is usually statuesque and empowered in her bearing!   She is socially prominent, warm, and generous.   This loving Queen is a great source of comfort and support during difficult times.    The Queen of Wands is a figure that can give good advice that is worth listening to.

Like any Queen in tarot she can be a symbol of the querent herself, a mature woman in the querent’s life, or the things that this card symbolizes in the querent’s life.   In the case of Queen of Wands she can be symbolized through heading a business, a social organization, a philanthropic organization, or even a political figure.   She is confident and empowered to make changes in her life for the better.    This card tells the querent to use their guiding voice to make positive changes.

I hope that you have enjoyed this brief overview of the Queen of Wands card in tarot.   Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
