For day six of Poetry Week I have decided to share a poem that I wrote about a Faerie Queen and her knight.
Faerie Queen and Knight

The words “ordeyned by enchauntemente” inked on a foot.
Guinevere and Lancelot have a love very magical.
They shared the mystical connection of Avalon.
A Faerie Queen in love with a Knight.
The Game of Courtly Love
Is played on the grounds
Of the Chivalric Code!
A kiss shared by the faerie and her beloved Sir!
She is not “Le Belle Dame Sans Merci”
In truth she is a Faery Queen loving a powerful Knight.
One day they shall be joined in the bonds of Sacred Matrimony.
The ink of “ordeyned by enchauntemente”
Marks her as a woman Faery.
The rings show them as man and bride for all eternity!
