For today’s post I decided to do a Magical Lifestyle post, as I have not done one in a while. This lifestyle post is my list of seven ways in which to connect to the Sacred Isle of Avalon! I hope you gain some inspiration as to how to utilize the energy of Avalon in your own life. Without further ado here is my list, in no specific order!
Meditate on Avalon
~Meditating on the energy of Avalon, and even traveling there astrally is the perfect way to connect to this place.
Read Arthurian Legends
~I have long been obsessed with reading everything I could get my hands on pertaining to Arthurian legends, and especially Morgana le Fay. That means that I am intimately familiar with the legends, and it is the first way to get to know Avalon!
Watch Arthurian Films and TV shows
~There are no shortage of these, and I have watched most of them. I will even watch the bad ones, and love anything involving Morgana! I know she is more than the baddie she’s usually portrayed as, however, some of the evil interpretations have actresses that did an incredible job playing her.
Surround Yourself with Avalonian Imagery
~This could mean having apples, real and fake, around the house. Faery imagery is very Avalonian, as is anything royal and Arthurian. Choose whatever feels like Avalon to you!
Learn about Goddesses of Avalon
~There are many books on Avalonian witchcraft and the Goddesses of these traditions. Like any other spiritual program it is important to read up, and learn all you can!
Burn candles and incense that remind you of Avalon
~Good scents, for me, include apple, cinnamon, rose, and frankincense (usually you can find frankincense and myrrh incense that are perfect for this)!
Eat Apples
~This one may seem silly, but as it is the Isle of Apples, an apple a day may do more than keep the doctor away. It may also bring you ever closer to Avalon!
~I hope you have enjoyed this list. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
Note on Image: The image at the top of the post is Waterhouse’s The Crystal Ball. It has always given me serious Morgan le Fay in Avalon vibes! I found the image on http://www.jwwaterhouse.com/view.cfm?recordid=25.
