Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. For this week’s Siren Saturday, I have decided to share the seventh entry in my Incarnated Mermaid Diaries series. Today’s topic is Preparing for The Melusine Mysteries Class of 2026!
In many ways, I think that my work as an Avalonian Water Priestess, and more specifically, as a Priestess of Melusine, is deeply rooted in my nature as an Incarnated Mermaid. I think I was drawn to walking the Path of Avalon, to embracing my deep connections to the Avalonian Faery Queens, and to working so deeply with the Sacred Waters because of my Soul Origins. It was after I had my massive Kundalini Awakening, which revealed the truth of my Soul Origins, that I became firmly rooted in my Path as an Avalonian Faery Witch, and later Water Priestess! I found my way to taking on the title Enchantress of Avalon, and eventually being initiated as a Priestess by the Avalonian Faery Queen Goddesses I am devoted to, because I knew myself better than I ever had before. Of course, this was a long process, as I had to get over a feeling of questioning whether I was the right one for the job, especially as I stepped further down the path of becoming a Professional Priestess. Oh, but how glad I am that I have fully embraced my calling!
It is this embracing of my calling, this acceptance of my unique Priestess Path, that led to me being chosen by Melusine to teach about her. I had already had a deep and loving relationship with Melusine, both as a Faery Queen Goddess to whom I was devoted, and as a Faery Queen Ancestress. I was blown away by being tasked with this great work of being her Priestess, being a Priestess who would teach The Melusine Mysteries in her name, to be a voice for her in the world! Oh, and Melusine was by my side the whole time, assuring me that I was the right person for this job whenever I felt doubt in myself. As a sidenote, I think this questioning over whether you are right for a Goddess-given task is quite common amongst Priestesses, and may even show just how much value the Priestess is placing on her new role. I say this because I have also heard other Priestesses talk about this and how Goddess or Spirit held their hand and assured them they were the one meant to do this specific task. In the times I have heard other Priestesses speak of this type of thing happening since creating The Melusine Mysteries, it strikes a chord, as that is exactly what Melusine did for me if I ever have doubts!
To be honest, I was blown away by just how amazing the first round of classes was last year. The Melusine Mysteries Class of 2025 truly went better than I had ever dreamed that it would. This is what affirmed to me, more than ever before, that this is very much what I am meant to be doing with my life! That is also why I have been so excited and overjoyed about preparing for this second year of The Melusine Mysteries. I got amazing feedback from my first students, feedback which truly warmed my heart. Knowing that my work on this class has had such a positive effect on my students has assured me that I am doing things right!
So, the prep work for this year’s classes has been much easier than last year’s. After all, I did not have to write and create all of the curriculum from scratch, as I did last year. I have mostly been doing some small updates and creating some more bonus lessons. For the most part, the class is all set because I have run it before, and now it is about preparing to welcome in the new students and promoting the class as enrollment opens! In many ways, this year I think I am even more excited, as I do not have the anxiety of wondering how it will go as much as last year, given that I have done this before. Instead, I get to really focus on the excitement and joy of being able to share my work with a new group of students!
So, yes, the prep for this year was quite easy, with small updates, deciding to do payment plans as an option, and creating a waitlist. However, that does not make it any less overwhelmingly incredible than last year. I am just overjoyed to be able to share my love and devotion to Melusine with my students. Yes, oh yes, Priestess of Melusine is definitely an ideal occupation and Sacred Duty for an Incarnated Mermaid, if I do say so myself!
