Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   For today’s first Mermaid Monday of 2026, I have a special announcement!   I am ready to share what my new class, which I have been hinting at for the last few months, actually is.   In the Summer of 2026, I will be launching this new class (along with the second round of Melusine Mysteries, beginning enrollment in the Spring).   The class is Lessons from Celtic Mermaids, and it will be a seven-week-long class delving into Celtic Water Faeries!

I am absolutely delighted to be writing this class over the Winter, so that it is ready to be launched in the Summer.   It is such an important new offering, which both builds upon The Melusine Mysteries, but also serves as a great gateway into further study with The Melusine Mysteries.   You see, Lessons from Celtic Mermaids is a short class, as I noted only seven weeks long, and that means that potential students who are uncertain of the time commitment of the seven-month-long length of The Melusine Mysteries can see if they like my teaching style and class structure enough to go on to enter The Melusine Mysteries during a later year!

Of course, I believe that Lessons from Celtic Mermaids will also appeal to students already taking The Melusine Mysteries.   After all, this short class dives into the folklore and lessons to be found in stories of many different Celtic Water Faeries, with the final week being focused on Melusine, to round out the class!   I am beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to share my knowledge and passion for Mermaids and other Celtic Water Faeries with my students, both old and new, when this class launches.   

Of course, before that happens in the Summer, I also have exciting things going on here at White Rose of Avalon!   In March, I will begin my Practical Magic Book Club over on Avalonian Rose Faery Mysteries Patreon.   The book club will be available to all three of my paid tiers and will run from March through June.   We will be reading all four of the Practical Magic books by Alice Hoffman, one each month, in preparation for Practical Magic 2 being released in cinemas in September!   So, if you are interested in participating, complete with a group chat discussing the novel as we read and a Live discussion at the end of the month, please consider joining Avalonian Rose Faery Mysteries from now through June to participate.
