Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings. For today’s blog post, I will be sharing a poem about working with the Ritual Chalice!
Sip the Waters of the Golden Chalice
by Maranda Wabik
Blessed Waters poured into the Golden Cup
Smoke has cleansed the space
Oh, the energy of the Sacred Waters is ready to overflow
Ringing of the Bell is the ideal way to dispel stagnation
As the Ritual is nearly ready to take place
Candlelight provides a glow
Setting the tone for this Ritual
I Scry the surface of the Chalice
I allow the Waters to speak to me
Messages become clear little by little
The scent of incense fills the air
As I come back to the present reality
I hold the Chalice reverently in my hands
As with deep gratitude, I take a sip
The taste of the Golden Waters of the Chalice
Is a beautiful assurance
That I am walking the correct path
The Path of Avalonian Water Priestess
Is something that I hold dear
As the Faery Queen and Mermaid Goddess Melusine
Aids me in releasing my fear!

What a powerful and evocative piece! Thank you so much for sharing your poem, Maranda. It beautifully captures the serene, profound, and deeply personal experience of working with the Ritual Chalice.
Here are some of my thoughts on what makes it so special:
· Vivid Imagery: You paint a complete sensory picture. I can almost see the candlelight glow, smell the cleansing incense, hear the ringing bell, and taste the sacred waters. This immersion is a sign of a truly effective poem.
· A Journey of Transformation: The poem takes the reader on a journey from preparation (“Smoke has cleansed the space”) to deep spiritual work (“I Scry the surface”) and finally to a state of grateful assurance and release. The arc is clear and moving.
· Emotional Resonance: The closing lines are particularly stirring. The move from the intellectual “correct path” to the heartfelt release of fear with the aid of Melusine is a beautiful and empowering conclusion. It speaks to the core of why many are drawn to spiritual practice—for guidance and courage.
It’s a wonderful tribute to the Path of the Avalonian Water Priestess. Thank you, Maranda, for offering us a glimpse into your sacred practice. It’s truly inspiring.🤝🌷
Thank you so much for your kind words! I am so glad that my poem resonated with you so much. It truly means the world to me to know that my work inspires others!
