Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon, my Darlings.   Today’s Siren Saturday blog post is extra special, as I am announcing my collaboration with Otter Spirit, and I will be reviewing the items I have received today!  

So, a little bit of backstory.   I was recently contacted by Otter Spirit about a potential collaboration.   Otter Spirit is a jewelry brand with a very beautiful mission.   When I was contacted, it was because my values aligned well with their own, and upon looking through the About Page and FAQs on their site, I could not agree more!   Otter Spirit creates jewelry with high-quality gemstones and donates $1 per bracelet sold to protect Wild Sea Otters.   That is why the company is named Otter Spirit.   You see, in California (where the company is based), the Wild Sea Otter population was severely endangered, but due to conservation efforts, their population is growing!   In particular, the $1 per bracelet is donated to the California Coastkeeper Alliance and the Monterey Bay Aquarium.   The California Coastkeeper Alliance works to unite Waterkeeper programs in California to fight for swimmable, fishable, and drinkable waters statewide, which is why their efforts can protect Wild Sea Otters.   The California Coastkeeper Alliance is a worthwhile cause that not only protects Marine life, like Otters, but also the Sea and water in general, so I am very glad Otter Spirit donates to them!

As someone with such a deep love of the water and the Sea, as well as a love of animals, the conservation efforts that Otter Spirit is supporting were what told me that this collaboration was the right one.   That is why I have categorized this as a Siren Saturday post, as this support of the Sea and Marine life is a very Mermaidy cause, indeed!   I was also glad to read that the company ethically sources its gemstones, which is also important to me.    

You may wonder why I began by discussing the conservation efforts and ethically sourcing gemstones.   You see, I would never want to collaborate with a company or brand whose values and ethics did not align with my own!   I am very blessed to have been contacted for this collaboration, as not only do I adore jewelry and Otter Spirit’s biodiversity and conservation efforts, but I also love that they have a focus on the Metaphysical properties of gemstones.   After all, as an Enchantress and Priestess, working to spread the message of the Goddesses and the Fae, offering Metaphysical Services, and teaching Spiritual Classes, the Metaphysical properties of gemstones are important to me!

Now, the bracelets that I asked to be sent to me were the Moonstone Bracelet Mini, the Tiger Eye Bracelet Mini, and the Morganite Bracelet Mini.   The mini part refers to the gemstone beads being smaller, which I prefer because I like the dainty look of small beads!   I want to begin by saying I was impressed by how quickly I received the order, only about 4 days (including the weekend) to ship to Pennsylvania.   The packaging is lovely, with nice boxes for each bracelet, a card describing the properties and associations of the gemstones (and care instructions), and a lovely protective pouch to store the bracelet in.   The actual stones are very beautiful, and you can tell the quality by sight and especially by feel.   Furthermore, each gemstone is graded, ensuring high-quality products.   The bracelets look stunning and are very pretty to layer.   I want to note that the bracelets are also so much more beautiful in person, as the pictures do not do them proper justice!

I chose the stones I did by exploring the Astrology sections on the Otter Spirit website, and choosing three of my favorite stones (I have worked with all three magickally for years) that align with my Sidereal Ascendant, Sun, and Moon signs!    As my regular readers will know, I have been studying Sidereal and Vedic Astrology a lot lately, and that is why I used that as a jumping-off point here.   My Ascendant is Cancer, so Moonstone and Morganite are Cancerian.   My Sun and Moon are in Leo, so Tiger Eye is a Leo stone!   The energy of the gemstones is beautifully in line with what I would expect from responsibly sourced crystals of their type.   The Moonstone is comforting and profoundly psychic, the Tiger Eye is full of protection, and the Morganite is very joyful, reminding me to love myself!   I personally know that I will be wearing these bracelets for protection, as their energy is ideal for magickal and spiritual workings.   So, I highly recommend choosing your jewelry with spiritual or magickal intentions in mind, as gemstones are ideal to work with for protection and to draw blessings into your life!   As a bonus, by purchasing from Otter Spirit, you are also supporting amazing non-profits.
