Raven’s Way: A Poem

Welcome back to White Rose of Avalon my Darling readers!   For today’s post, I have decided to share a poem about shadow journeys.

Raven’s Way

by Maranda Wabik

The caw ringing out through

A thicket of wild trees

Announces the presence of the

Divine messenger bird

My avian friend

Perches upon my shoulder

Black feathers on the

Raven’s body catch the Moonlight

Coming off of the Orb

Full of all her glory

My bare feet walk along

The cold grass on the

Floor of the Wildwood

In this Faeryland

Which I find myself

Seeing by only the Full Moon’s glow

Directed by the Crow,

No longer on my shoulder

Now, leading me on my

Journey into the Shadows!
