I have decided to share another of my poems for today’s post.
A Fresh Start

Tears fall down her face
As he walks out of her life.
His words ring in her ears
As the door slams shut.
One chapter is closing,
And another chapter has yet to begin.
Stuck in the in-between,
Fighting just to be seen.
He is pulling her apart,
And she just wanted them to start.
The memory of his kiss
Is imprinted on her lips.
A smile graces her face
As a memory washes over her dreams.
Life is not what it seems.
Life is unfurling into dreams.
Fantasies are unwinding into reality.
